In the current smart phone field, dual-screen has begun to become a popular trend. Samsung recently described a device equipped with a secondary display in a recent smart watch patent. As the patent shows, the wristwatch has a long strip of display wrapped around the edge of the case.
Similar to the smartphone's secondary screen, this display will also be used to display weather, date, announcements, and currently playing songs. In addition, it should work as a message light too. As a result, the watch's home screen shows more important information or turns off when not needed to save power.
