What makes a diamond shine?
When light strikes a diamond and passes through it, it reflects from the internal surface it is called facet. Then, the light leaves the diamond, which may be white light or a color spectrum. The former is called brightness. The latter is called fire, divided into red, orange, yellow, green, cyan, blue and purple iridescent.
When you or a diamond moves, a glittering effect appears that looks like white and multicolored light flashes alternately on the diamond, shimmering and dingy. This contrast of light and shade is dynamic, described in non-technical terms, is the result of the flash phenomenon.
3 Tips To Choose Your Shiny Diamonds
Since the blinking of diamonds is actually the interaction between gems and light, the surrounding environment is crucial when you look at the quality of diamonds and their cut quality.
1: Be sure to check the diamond under four different light sources.
Environment point light should not be too strong. Then, watching the diamond in diffuse lighting - the fluorescence reflected back from the white ceiling is the best choice. Third, try to observe the diamond in a mixed lighting environment where the light source and the diffused light are mixed. Finally, do not forget to watch the diamond under natural light.

2: Please pay attention to the cut style.
The greater the number of diamond facets, the more reflective and astigmatic surfaces are. A round brilliant cut diamond of 57 or 58 facets will look even brighter than a single double diamond of only 17 or 18 facets.

Cut grade "excellent": the diamond is very bright, the contrast between light and dark areas, the proportion of uniform, which reflected light reflex.
Cut grade "excellent": the diamond bright area evenly distributed throughout the crown of precious stones, and very little overwhelming areas.
Cut grade is "Good": Diamonds are not as bright - the reflex sharpness is reduced, and there are more dark and impervious areas in the diamond.
Cut grade "bad": diamonds clearly have a large dark and impermeable area.
If you make a choice, most people choose one of "excellent" and "good".
